Happy Halloween to everyone, get your costumes out and make Dracula proud
Hello there fellow viewers, I hope you all had an amazing weekend, as I dive into today’s topics I would like to announce my weekend matter for this weekend. It is going to be on the influences of video games and the alleged controversies. Today I am going to be talking about the potential sequels to James Cameron’s sci-fi epic that takes place in Pandora, possible news on a Wonder Woman movie and a probable sequel to one of the greatest horror comedies of all time. Let’s get it on.
- I SEEQUEL YOU
There have been talks regarding the next set of movies that are to precede the first Avatar movie. James Cameron, the visionary director as made it known that he would be shooting the next three Avatar sequels at the same time, this would save cost and time. This means that the next movie which is set to come out in 2016 would be easily followed up by its sequels in the exact following years. Although I doubt that the sequels would make as much money as the first one. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it is to risky to shoot all sequels at the same time?
- BEYOND WONDERS
In a recent interview with Greg Silverman, the head at Warner Bros Studios, he was asked on what Warner Bros has planned for Wonder Woman, and whether the character would be in the Man of Steel sequel. He stated that they were still working on the character, but he gave no decisive answer. it puzzles me to hear that there is no Wonder Woman movie script in the works, because with the release of Thor and its success, it can be said that a Wonder Woman movie shouldn’t be too difficult to make compared to five or ten years ago. But there is also the female factor, as we have seen, female lead movies have not boomed perfect franchises in the past,(Catwoman, Elektra, Aeon Flux) that could be another worry for Warner Bros. What are your thoughts?
- THE BOOMSTICK RETURNS
Bruce Campbell(Army of Darkness) recently retorted gleefully that an Army of Darkness sequel could be in the works. The 1992 movie that featured Bruce himself and was directed by Sam Raimi(Spider-Man) was a huge classic among fans. The sequel is set to star an older Ash Williams(the main protagonist from the first movie) as he continues to battle the undead even at his age. Do you think that it is too late to make a sequel? Are you excited about the sequel? Please let me know in the comment section below. Till next time. Szia.
Hello out there my fellow readers, before we go into today’s topics I would like to announce that I would be uploading a Weekend Matter about Movie Adaptations and their importance this weekend. Today I would be talking about an upcoming movie that features everyone’s favorite assassin, a planned sequel to a young adult adaptation and a new trailer for a beloved hero lost in time.
- ASSASSIN’S NEED
Recently, Micheal Fassbender(X-Men First Class) talked about the progressive development on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie set to hit theaters in 2015, he said that he has gone over the script and he is ecstatic about the script, although he also stated that he had never played an Assassin’s Creed game before, this statement caused a minor uproar, as devoted fans of the game series were concerned, stating that how could the lead actor not have played any of the games. I am also a huge fan of the video game franchise, having played all the games in the series(including Bloodlines on the PSP), this does not really bother me too much, as Fassbender is a splendid actor. Considering the issue of him not being familiar with the video game, this brings to light the story of Courtney Solomon, an avid Dungeons and Dragons player who directed the Dungeons and Dragons movie that came out in 2000, despite the fact that the director was well learned with the source material, the movie ended up being a flop. What are your thoughts on Micheal Fassbender being cast as the lead role in Assassin’s Creed?
- THE MORTAL SEQUELS
News has surfaced that a sequel to the young adult movie adaptation titled The Mortal Instruments is in the works. It was stated that despite the poor box office performance of the first movie, Constantine films has decided to further the project due to numerous positive feedback from fans that wish to see a sequel. I am a fan of the novels and I found the movie to be a bit lackluster but with a great potential for a franchise. Although, the head of Constantine films blames the marketing campaign of the movie as the probable reason for its flop, this could be a bit of a diss to Sony Pictures as they were primarily involved in the movie’s marketing. What are your thoughts? Do you think a sequel could perform better?
- THE WINTER SOLDIER
A new trailer has emerged for the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and it looks amazing, it shows Steve Rodgers working for S.H.I.E.L.D. while still trying to fit into the 21st century. We get to look at new characters like The Falcon played by Anthony Mackie, jumping off a roof with black retractable wings wielding two sub-machine guns, and we also get a glimpse of Bucky Barnes, the winter soldier causing terror. The trailer also shows Hollywood Legend Robert Redford, as a head of S.H.I.E.L.D. The trailer ends with the captain tossing his shield at the winter soldier who catches it with ease and a glaring stare. This just looks splendid. Are you excited for this sequel? Let me know in the comment section below. Till next time. Szia.
Hello there once again my fellow viewers, as you have noticed there was no Monday upload, this was due to some technical issues. Today I would be talking about the rumors of a lead cast member in an upcoming Marvel film, plans for a Zelda movie, and a Vince Vaughn movie that involves him not crashing a wedding but rather trying to make amends to crashed relationships. Let’s get it on.
- SIZE MATTERS
Rumors circled recently about two potential actors that are set to play the lead role of Hank Pym in the upcoming Antman movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Paul Rudd have been rumored to be in the lead choices for the movie. Although JGL recently debunked the rumor stating that he was not yet aware of any news of such. When I heard this news, I was shocked considering the fact that both choices have a great deal of years between them. JGL is a talented actor who can undertake several genres from drama to action to comedy. Paul Rudd on the other hand, is much more inclined to comedy, but considering the fact that Edgar Wright(Scott Pilgrim vs the World) is going to direct the movie, and the initial test footage had a great deal of comedic elements, one can see Paul Rudd take up this role. Who do you think would be perfect for the role ad the Antman?
- OCARINA OF SCREENS
In recent chats with the developers of the cult classic The Legend of Zelda, it was reported that there are plans in place to bring the zealous hero to the big screens, they say that they plan on integrating the Nintendo 3DS with the cinematic movie for a whole new viewing experience. Details have not yet been released, but I don’t really see the use as it looks like Nintendo is trying to make more profit by increased sales in 3DS consoles. It could also be a new way to revolutionize the average viewers experience. What are your thoughts?
- SWINGING GONE WRONG
A new poster and trailer of the upcoming comedy drama, The Delivery Man as surfaced, the movie follows the life of David Wozniak(Vince Vaughn), who has father over 500 children due to his past as a sperm donor, when a group of his children decide to petition for his identity, he must now decide whether to come out to his children or not. This is actually a remake of a french film titled Starbuck. The movie releases on the 22nd of November. Are you looking forward to the movie? Till next time. Szia.
Hello out there my fellow readers, I know that I am a bit late to the party but I would be going to Gravity later tonight because it just came out recently in my area. The word of mouth on this movie is phenomenon. Today we would be looking at a new cast member backing out of a project, the potential collaboration of two comedy gods again and news about an odd horror movie that is set to grace our screens by Silent Bob himself. Let’s get it on.
- FIFTY SHADES OF ANARCHY
In recent buzz, it has been reported that Sons of Anarchy star, Charlie Hunnam has backed out of the movie adaptation of the E.L. James erotic novel, 50 Shades of Grey. It was stated that it was due to scheduling conflicts with Sons of Anarchy. now as a person who really has no interest in this upcoming movie, I am speculating that the true reason that Hunnam left the project was probably because of the negative press that has been going around since its announcement, I hope to see Hunnam in other blockbuster movies like the monster epic, Pacific Rim, because I think that genre suits him better. Are you a fan of the 50 Shades of Grey? What are your thoughts?
- DEVIL’S NIGHT
The two comedy powerhouses namely, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are set to star together again in an upcoming dark comedy titled Devil’s Night which follows the story of two friends( Will and John) who have a fallout on the Devil’s Night( the eve of Halloween) and must now come together, set their differences aside and stop some evil from taking over on Halloween night. This movie sounds just like comedy gold to me, we have seen Ferrell and Reilly exhibit comedic chemistry in Step Brothers and with the sounds of this movie I am definitely sold on the idea. What are your thoughts?
- JAY AND SILENT TUSK
There have been talks about an upcoming horror movie to be directed by Kevin Smith titled Tusk, it tells the story of a man who was trapped on a boat for years with a walrus, with whom he forms a strange bond, he then returns to the mainland and is requesting for a roommate who can wear a walrus’ tusk and behave like an animal. This sounds really obscene and it is also something that Kevin Smith is capable of doing, so far the only cast member we know of is Genesis Rodriguez(Man on a Ledge), with Clerks 3 also in the works for Kevin Smith, one can only wonder what the future holds more for us in stock. What are your thoughts? Please be sure to leave your comments below and subscribe for more movie related news. Till next time. Szia.
Ahoy, err mateys, and fellow viewers, welcome to another friendly post from a blogger that cares( yes I really do), while we all ponder on what the fox says, I thought it would be important to bring this subjects to light. Today, I am going to talk about the upcoming biopic of a certain man who had a dream, an interesting cast member to join the galaxy far, far away and a new trailer about a couple of brave men who had to go behind enemy lines to save relics that pertained to their culture. Let’s get it on.
- I HAVE A DREAM
It was recently brought to light that a biopic on the great American activist, Martin Luther King Jr is in the works and Jamie Foxx(Ray) is rumored to be playing the legend while Oliver Stone(JFK) is set to direct. This sounds interesting as it would introduce the audience to the great things that Luther King Jr did in the name of civil rights. But with an eccentric director like Oliver Stone, one can only wonder at what he has to bring to the table. What are your thoughts?
- CHRONICLES OF A CAST MEMBER
In recent news, Micheal B Jordan(Chronicle) disclosed that he was in talks with J.J. Abrams(alongside David Oyelowo) on a role in the upcoming Star Wars franchise. Jordan who is known for his role in movies like Chronicle and Fruitvale Station is also set to be cast as the new Human Torch in the Fantastic Four reboot. He seems to be on his A game, as he has been referred to many as an act to watch. With a potential Oscar buzz for his work on Fruitvale Station, I can see a bright future for Micheal B Jordan. What are your thoughts?
- OCEAN’S IN WWII
A new trailer was recently released for the upcoming drama, Monuments Men, which is based on the true story of a couple of art historians who are tasked with going behind enemy lines during the Fall of the Reich in World War II to get back precious art materials that had been taking by the Nazis who were intended on destroying the artifacts. The movie features a strong suit of cast members like George Clooney( who also produced and directed the film), Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett and Jean Dujardin. This movie also looks like a possible Oscar contender and seems intriguing to say the least. Are you excited about this movie? Let me know in the comment section. That is all for now. Till next time. Szia.
Hello fellow readers, apparently I am still feeling a bit under the weather but that would not stop me from updating my viewers on the world of movies. Today I am going to talk about a change on Wall Street of the non-monetary kind, casting choices for the Fantastic Four reboot and a particular explosive director’s change in plans. Let’s get it on.
- HUFF AND PUFF AND CHANGE THE DATE
In recent talks, it has been reported that the previous release date of Martin Scorsese’s latest movie, Wolf of Wall Street has been pushed from its 15th of November release date to some time in December, probably on Christmas Day. This is due to the current running time of three hours that the studio has insisted on cutting down. The good news is that the movie gets to be a front-runner for the Oscars next year. Although it also means that the previous Paramount movie that was meant to be released on Christmas Day is going to be pushed into next year which is Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. With Martin at the helm as the director, one can be assured that the editing would work well and I am also hoping that DiCaprio bags an Oscar for this movie. What are your thoughts?
- FANTASTIC CASTING
A list of potential actors have been released, that are set to star as the lead characters in the Fantastic Four reboot, it says thus Kit Harrington(Game of Thrones), Jack O’Connor( 300 : Rise of an Empire) and Miles Teller(21 and Over) are all set to contend for the role of Reed Richards while Saoirse Ronan(Hanna), Kate Mara(House of Cards) and Margot Robbie(Wolf of Wall Street) are set to audition for the role of Sue Storm. Now the major issue I have with this casting choice is particularly with that of Reed Richards, the cast seems way too young for a character who is known for being extremely smart and aged. The casting for Sue Storm is a bit better but also suffers from the same juvenile problem, but that doesn’t mean that they could not give amazing performances, I personally want to see Aaron Eckhart or Adrien Brody as Mr Fantastic, but we would see what the future holds for us. What are your thoughts?
- BAY OF THE DEAD
It has been recently announced by the mayor of mayhem, Micheal Bay that he would like to delve a bit into the horror genre, he said that it had been one of his greatest fantasies. This actually sounds more like good news than bad simply because aside from the evident annihilation that he brings to movies, Bay has also been know for visceral and gratuitous scenes which are key elements for a horror movie. I hope to see what he is going to bring out of the horror genre as he has been a prolific producer on several horror movies. That is all I have for now folks, please feel free to comment and subscribe for more movie related news. Till next time. Szia.
